Thomai Garavela was born in Athens. She holds a Medical Degree and a Master’s Degree in “Molecular and Applied Physiology,” graduating with distinction from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the 3rd University Department of Internal Medicine at the “Sotiria” General Hospital for Chest Diseases in Athens. During her training, she also gained experience in specialized units of the clinic, such as the oncology unit, intensive care unit, and cardiology unit.

She worked as a scientific associate in the Oncology Unit of the 3rd University Department of Internal Medicine at Sotiria Hospital, focusing on clinical trials of new oncological therapies. She has also worked in major private hospitals in the Attica region.

Since 2017, she has maintained a private medical practice and serves as the scientific director of the Internal Medicine Department at Ovagenesis.

Since 2023, she has been the head of the Outpatient Internal Medicine Clinic at Iaso General Clinic and an attending physician in the Department of Preventive and Personalized Medicine, with a strong clinical interest in targeted prevention and precision medicine.
